Today's meal was a
Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Cherry Salsa from
Epicurious.com. We had it with a warm bolillo roll, and a fresh salad from the garden. The pork was marinated in lime juice, oil, cilantro and shallots. It was a nice preparation of the meat, and I love that this dish shows off a delicious seasonal fruit!
Wine: 2007 Aquinas Napa Valley Pinot Noir. I picked pinot noir because it is usually a nice match with pork, and because the cherry flavor can be a great match with the salsa. This wine also has some meatiness and smokiness--it was a really nice match! We were both very pleased!
