DIY Poke Bowl from the August 12, 2020 Denver Post. We decided to add peach and cucumber to the recipe instead of substituting—after all a spicy peach salsa with Palisade peaches is divine. It is delicious, though as made it needed a bit of salt. We give this a 4.

Summer Squash with Poblano Queso Fresco and Epazote from the August 2020 Food and Wine.  Even without the Epazote (which we couldn't find) it is delicious.  Served with Pan Seared Strip Steak (https://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/pan-seared-strip-steak).  These are both delicious, and we give both a 5.

Orzo Salad with Spinach Feta Mint and Olives from the Denver Post August 5, 2020. We used chard from the garden but otherwise made it as written. The flavors are pleasant but we have had other more inspiring dishes this week. We give this a 3.

Spicy Stir Fried Japanese Eggplant and Cucumber from NYT Cooking. This might sound a bit improbable, but trust us, the flavors are delicious. We have plenty of Japanese eggplant and lemon cucumber from the garden, and will happily do this again. We give this a 5.

This is a Clafoutis, base recipe courtesy of my sister Barb, but instead of cherries we used clove currants, black currants, and gooseberries from our garden, and some foraged huckleberries. Spectacular!! It gets a 5.
