I failed again to remember the photo. The new recipe is Charred Peach Panzanella with Pickled Pepper Vinaigrette. Nice flavors, a bit dominated by the mustard and pickled peppers in the sauce. We give this a 4.

Spicy Braised Tofu from the September 2020 Bon Appetít. This is a simple dish with only a few ingredients. The flavors are classic Asian flavors, and it is just delicious. This gets a 5.

We did not cook in September 7 or 8, as we were with Carl's family celebrating the life of his wonderful mother. Today's new dish is Sheet Pan Chicken with Roasted Plums and Onions from NYT Cooking. This is wonderful. Don't skip the herbs on top (not in the photo)! They bring this to a 5. Lots here from our garden, including thyme, plums, and mint, and in the salad cucumbers and tomatoes.

Kielbasa Cabbage Stir Fry from the September 2020 Food and Wine. This has nice flavors. The sauce has both miso and mustard, so great umami flavors but a bit salty for our taste. We give this a 3.

Clearly I messed up the photo of the Charred Tomato Soup with Coriander and Cilantro from NYT Cooking. We misread the recipe and blended ricotta into the soup instead of only using it as a topping. But we thought it was delicious. We give this a 5.

Warm Eggplant Salad with Walnuts from the September 2018 Bon Appetít. This is quite delicious, we give it a 5. The added mint really stands out. The eggplant, mint, and the cucumbers and tomatoes are all from our garden.

Chicken and Rice with Leeks and Salsa Verde from the September 2020 Bon Appetít, and Sweet Corn Salad from NYT Cooking. The chicken is very tasty to begin with and the salsa verde knocks it out of the park—this is a 5! The corn salad is also very nice, it gets a 4.
