Turkish Pumpkin Soup from NYT Cooking. The allspice and cinnamon meld really nicely with the onions, leeks and garlic, so it doesn't taste like a pumpkin dessert. A combination I really haven't seen before. This gets a 4.

Happy Thanksgiving! The Turkey is the Spatchcocked Sheet Pan Turkey with Brown Sugar and Coriander from the November 2022 Food and Wine. This is a winner, beautiful flavors and so moist! It is a 5.
The Thanksgiving Stuffing recipe from NYT Cooking stands out with the cornbread, browned butter and sage. It gets a 4.
The Torn Potatoes of Many Colors with Chile Lime Butter from Epicurious was a fun variation from mashed potatoes. We had trouble getting the potatoes cooked through in the allotted time. Overall this gets a 3.

Clarified Pumpkin Spice Latte Milk Punch from Epicurious. I love the idea of a bulk cocktail, but this took a great deal of time, and I lost half the liquid in the clarifying process. Some of the family liked the flavor, but I wasn't blown away. This gets a 1–I didn't think enough of it to want to try to fix it.
