Sauteed Shishito Peppers (no photo), and Grilled Ratatouille Pasta Salad, both from Epicurious. Both are 5s. The addition of lemon juice to the peppers, along with sticking to medium heat, makes these the best shishitos we have had. And the salad is a nice play on ratatouille, with wonderful added depth from the grilled vegetables.

Grilled Watermelon Salad with Lime Mango Dressing and Cornbread Croutons from Epicurious. This is an interesting salad with a variety of flavors. I used a cornbread mix that is fairly sweet. I think this would have been better with a savory, unsweetened cornbread, but still fun. It gets a 4.

Two Yotam Ottolenghi recipes from NYT Cooking. Grilled Cucumbers with Tomato Cardamom Dressing and Mozzarella, served with Jerusalem Lamb Shawarma. Ottolenghi is a master of combining flavors and preparing food in unexpected ways. The cucumber dish is incredible and gets a 5. The flavors of the lamb are also amazing, but parts of it came out rather dry. Our leg didn't have much fat on it, and the oven is a convection oven—wondering if one of those is why it came out dry. Loved the flavor, wish it was moister, so it gets a 4.

The Say Anything cocktail from Epicurious. Kind of like a mojito, a Margarita and a watermelon has a baby together. It is really excellent, it gets a 5.
