Melon snd Cho Cho Salad from NYT Cooking. We found this to be delightful, in spite of very few ingredients including only a little oil and vinegar. This gets a 4.

Tofu and Asparagus with Frizzled Leeks from NYT Cooking. Just a few ingredients but they come together nicely. We give this a 4.

Sheet Pan Chicken with Chickpeas Cumin and Turmeric from NYT Cooking. This has really good flavors and is a delight to eat. We give this a 5.

Spicy Corn and Coconut Soup from NYT Cooking. This has a fair amount of ginger, garlic and Serrano, but it needs more—we would double them all. The dominant flavor is corn, and this needs more spice for balance and interest. We give it a 2.

Missed taking a photo of Sazón Spiced Shrimp and Okra from NYT Cooking. This is quite tasty, and caramelized okra jazzes up any dish in my book. This gets a 4.

Vegetable Farro Stew with Figs and Pine Nuts from Food and Wine. This has a really fun set of ingredients, but we found that many of the pieces were really too big, and even with the full time in the slow cooker they just didn't cook fully, especially the fennel and artichoke. We also found it odd to have to fish out artichoke leaves since you can never eat the whole things no matter how long they cook. We give this a 3.

Roasted Chicken Thighs with Blueberries from NYT Cooking. The berries are complemented by mustard, tarragon, coriander, garlic and paprika, which makes for a tasty and complex sauce. This gets a 5.
