New recipe, June 13, 2011

Tonight we had the Roast Beef with Chipotle Red Pepper Sauce and Mustard Chive Sauce (a worthy repeat) and the new recipes was the Spicy Pepper and Watermelon Salad (minus the flank steak) from Epicurious.com. These worked really nicely together!
Wine: 2005 Vineyard Pinot Noir. It is a nice pint noir, not overly complex, so a nice complement to the variety of flavors in these dishes. MMM!

Tonight we ate Roast Fillet of Beef with Chipotle Red Pepper Sauce and Mustard Chive Sauce, Carrot Radish Salad, both from Epicurious.com, and a lettuce and red pepper salad. The sauces were a great contrast to each other, and both worked great with the meat.

Wine: Jean Michel Maurice Domaine du Prieure Bourgogne 2006. Amazing that this worked with both meat sauces, and still worked with the carrot radish salad, which also had lime juice in it. Wonderful with the meal!
