New recipe, March 21, 2012

From the April 2012 Cooking Light: the new part is the Cheddar Cheese Sauce, served over pan grilled flank steak on sourdough toast. Accompanied by sautéed snow peas, and a tomato basil salad.
The sauce is good--gets a 3--and really quick to make, which is very nice! Together it all makes a pleasant meal.

New recipes, May 7, 2011

We made 2 new things tonight. The Spicy Bell Pepper Salad from Epicurious.com is not hot, but is very flavorful. We also had a grilled flank steak quick marinated in Worcestershire sauce with some garlic, serrano pepper and lime zest, served with Rick Bayless' Essential Chopped Tomato-Serrano Salsa, from his Mexican Kitchen. The salsa was great with the steak (a suggestion in the book after the salsa recipe). I am embarrassed to say we had not made this salsa before, but we certainly will again!

Once again no wine, as we had another play to attend--the closing night of Superior Donuts, at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. This is one of the best plays we have seen there in years.

January 8, 2011 new recipes

Here is Anne again at dinner on 1/8/2011. Both dishes are new: a Lime-Marinated Grilled Flank Steak, and a Cucumber-Onion Salad with Chinese Sausage.

We are still trying to remember what the sources for these are!

Don't recall the wine either.
