Tonight's new recipe is the Blistered Shishito Peppers with Miso from the September 2014 Food and Wine. Served with chicken thighs sautéed with Shichimi Togarashi, and a reprise of the Watermelon Gazpacho with Feta Crema from the August 2014 Bon Appetit.
The peppers and the gazpacho get 5s! (The peppers are available at Har Mart, and are labelled "sweet peppers"). The chicken was impromptu, and gets a 4.
No wine, we had Tozai Junmai "Living Jewel" Sake
