New recipe, September 18, 2013

One more day on the road. Today's new recipe is Chile Lime Cashews from the October 2012 Bon Appetit. Very tasty, we give these a 4. We would consider mincing the lime leaves and chiles de Arbol to distribute those great flavors more evenly.

New recipe, September 17, 2013

Still on the road, so our new recipe is another snack, Candied Cashews from Epicurious.com. Nice flavors, it gets a 3. Next time, I would mix the butter and the dry ingredients together first before adding the nuts. As made, a lot of the sugar and flavor fell off the nuts. Lesson learned!

We are both traveling, so the new recipe is a snack, Frico from the October 2012 Bon Appétit. These are easy to brown too much--they didn't take nearly as long as the recipe says. We give them a 3, but that is slightly over browned.
