New recipe, July 15, 2013
We had dinner tonight with Mark's dad Mike, so the new recipe is a cocktail, the Sidecar from the Montanya Rum blog. The flavors are nice, it seems like the peppery flavors of the rum are a little at odds with the citrus. We give this a 3.

Today we rode the Triple Bypass--120 miles, 10,000 vertical feet, not too much rain. It was a great ride. By the time we got home, we had time for a cocktail:
Honey Lavender Lemonade from the Montanya Rum website. This is delicious! We give it a 5.

New recipe, July 6, 2013
We joined Rich Lamm, Tim Charney and friends in the mountains, so our contribution is the Teocalli Caldera Martini, from the Montanya Rum website. This is delicious, we give it a 5! Keep in mind this takes some time--you need to infuse the rum with cucumbers, and you need to infuse a lavender honey simple syrup. So it mixes quickly, but it takes 4-5 days to get the ingredients ready. Worth it!

New recipes, June 29, 2013
We visited the Montanya Rum Distillery in Crested Butte on our ride. Who would have predicted that in Crested Butte? But the rums are excellent and they have a huge collection of carefully crafted recipes. Tonight we had the Breath of God, which is very tasty and gets a 4.
Our main course was the fabulous Scallops alla Caprese from Mario Batali's Italian Grill. We love it, it still gets a 5.
For dessert, we had Figs with Parmesan and Balsamic (who could resist the first figs of the season) from Local Foods on About.com. These were nice, we give them a 4.
Wine: Château La Rame Bordeaux 2010
