Tonight, we had to celebrate Carl's birthday again, with our friend Dwight Davidson. The meal was a grilled New York Strip Steak (salt, pepper, and olive are all that I put on it), Horseradish Mashed Potatos from Epicurious.com, and Wilted Spinach with Lemon Juice. We enjoyed this with Forefront 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, a very nice match!
I decided to try a variation on the molten chocolate cake. I riffed on the Molten Chocolate Cake with Cherries, adding some cinnamon and hot chili powder (1/2 teaspoon for 3 cakes). If anything, a little more chili would be even better!
