We used squash and squash blossoms from the garden, manchego instead of mozzarella, and a tomatillo salsa from last year's garden. And it was amazing! This gets a 5!

Double Cut Rib Eye with Sweet Gorgonzola Butter from the July 2019 Food and Wine. Served with a grilled corn salad and sautéed onions and mushrooms. The recipe is fabulous! We give this a 5.
And thanks to Rich and Tim, enjoyed with an amazing 1982 Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou St Emilion. Amazing!

Curry Spiced Lamb Burgers from NYT Cooking. These are tasty. The recipe suggested garnishing with diced mango, onion, bell pepper and scalllion. We turned those into a Salsa with some lime juice and salt. We give this a 4.

First, a new cocktail that we made up, we call it Red White and Blue.
2 oz Citron Vodka, mixed with 1/2 oz St Germain. Shake over ice and pour into a chilled martini glass. Gently pour 1/2 oz blue curaçao down the side of the glass, followed by 1/4 oz grenadine and voila!
We liked this and give it a 4.

Dinner was CantLoupe Gazpacho with Crispy Prosciutto (we skipped the Prosciutto) from the July 3, 2019 Denver Post, and Roast Pork with Milk from NYT Cooking. These were both astonishing and delicious. We give both a 5.

From NYT Cooking, Broiled Chicken Breast Salad with Curry Dressing. This improved overnight, but we felt more dressing was needed, and the curry flavor was somewhat overwhelmed by the balsamic. We give it a 3.

Grilled Scallops with Nori Ginger and Lime from the June/July 2019 Bon Appetít. Delicious, great flavors, still highlighting the scallops. We give this a 5.

How can it be July?

Two from the June/July 2029 Bon Appetít: Grilled Shrimp with Turmeric Mojo Sauce, and a reprise of the Cantaloupe and Sugar Snap Peas with Ricotta Salata. This time we used feta when we could not find Ricotta Salata, and it is much better! We give both a 5!
