Sesame Ginger Chickpea Stuffed Sweet Potatoes from the May 2017 Cooking Light. The flavors were good, but the potato was rather dry baked as described. It would be a 4 with a moister potato, we give it a 3.

The new recipe is the Three Chile Harissa from the May 2017 Bon Appetít. This is spectacular, total 5, in this case slathered on grilled lamb chops. Served with a reprise of the Radish and Parmesan Salad from the April 2017 Cooking Light. Still a 5!

Hibiscus Stiffed Chiles with Walnut Sauce from the May 2017 Cooking Light. The is a vegetarian variant of Chiles en Nogada, and is amazing. It gets a 5. Warning--it is not hard, but it does have a lot of steps.

We have been cooking something new every day for more than 6 years! denverlifewithcarlandmark.blogspot.comTahini Marinated Chicken Thighs with Cucumber and Tomato Salad from the May 2017 Cooking Light. Needed a touch more salt than the recipe called for, but a 5 nonetheless. Next time, using Aleppo pepper instead of regular crushed red pepper could add even more interest.

Vodka Negroni from Gary Regan's Joy of Mixology. A little different from a traditional Negroni, but the Campari and vermouth are still wonderful. Gets a 4.

Pea and Prosciutto Salad from the April 2017 Bon Appetít. We give this a 3. I think it would do better with a bit more dressing. Also would use lots of the shaved horseradish. The fresh really is much mellower than the jarred stuff, and adds a great layer of flavor.
