Castagnaccio (Chestnut Cake) from the May 2021 Eating Well. This is interesting. Chestnut flour has a smoky almost bitter flavor. It makes a very dense cake. We had different perceptions of the amount of bitterness, it was a bit off putting for me. We give this a 3.
